Russian-Slovakian-Polish-Ukrainian mix:)
20 September witnessed a videoconference between our two project schools: one from Slovakia and one from Poland. The language of communication was Russian, but surprisingly, it all ended up with our students singing joyfully an Ukrainian tune in... Polish and Slovakian. Aren't we all united by the same culture after all:)?
On Sep 20, the students of the 2cd group together with their Russian language teacher, Professor Anna Jurczak, from Gen. J. Jasinski’s High School No 72 in Warsaw, were co-organizers of a Russian language lesson conducted as part of the European Day of Languages. The lesson was also attended by students from a partner school from Partizánske in Slovakia and their teacher Zuzana Poluchova, which was carried out thanks to the video connection in the Messenger application. The Polish and Slovak students talked, among others, about their interests, passions, plans for the future, forms of spending free time, musical tastes and learned basic words in Polish and Slovak. Of course, the language of communication was Russian. At the end of the lesson, they performed the same song in Slovak and Polish.
ReplyDeleteWe are happy that in addition to improving language skills, we have managed to create a kind of cultural "bridge" using modern technology among peers from different countries, in order to get to know each other’s everyday life, interests and values, to notice similarities and differences, to appreciate the role of group work, enabling cooperation on the level of understanding and tolerance, to work on creating a set of values that are important for a young European.
